Creative Church for families

We’ve started a new fun way of being church together on Sunday afternoons.

Children and parents/carers can come each month and do crafts together—things like blow-painting, making windmills, or cutting and sticking.  Then we will have a short service (in which there may be a baptism) and then we will eat together (the food will be provided).

An outline will be:

3.00pm    Arrive & go around the various tables doing the crafts

~ 3.45pm    Short service, including children’s song

~ 4.00pm    Food!  We eat together the food provided.

We're doing this because we want to help parents fulfil the promises made at their child's baptism, where they said they would "help their child to take their place within the life and worship of Christ's church".

So all children and their carers from Spittal and beyond are welcome, and we are particularly hoping that those who have been baptised here will want to be part of this.
Several families are now coming regularly and it is great that they are part of us.

There is no charge for these events.

Children need to be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them.

Our Creative Church for families is based on the idea of "Messy Church", and you can see more information about this on their website, http://www.messychurch.org.uk/
