A service for families with music, games, quizzes, fun and food to keep the attention of everyone, however young or old.

Holy Communion
This service is when we follow Jesus' instructions to remember him by sharing bread and wine together, as he demonstrated in the last meal he shared with his disciples before he was arrested, tortured and then crucified.
Visitors are welcome to receive communion - the minister leading the service will explain how you will be served. A very tiny amount of wine has been dropped on to the bread or wafer just before the service by someone following covid-safe precautions.
If you are invited forward towards the altar to be served, if you keep your arms crossed rather than holding your hands out to receive, the minister will pray for you.
If the minister will be serving people in their seats and you do not wish to receive communion just shake your head gently.

Morning Worship

is a service using a variety of hymns/more modern songs (recorded and often with video), prayers and a talk (sermon) usually explaining one or more of the Bible passages that have been read and how they apply to our lives in the 21st century.

Special Services

- Probably most people's favourite services are our special Christmas services. These include traditional carol services and an Instant Nativity at Spittal when children can come dressed as their favourite person in the account of Jesus' birth. We deliver an invitation to these services to every home in our parishes. We have a joint Midnight Mass at one of our 3 churches.

- Spittal has several evening Songs of Praise including Sea Sunday and Harvest.

- Each year, on the 1st Sunday in November, we have at least one Bereavement Service to which everyone is welcome. We read the names of everyone whose funeral has taken place in our churches in the preceding year and the names of others who have died and whose families and friends ask for them to be remembered in this way.

- Remembrance Sunday Always the Sunday closest to November 11th, our ministers lead the Remembrance Ceremonies at Scremerston, Spittal, Tweedmouth and East Ord. Click on the notice sheet link above to check the times of these events which are in addition to the Act of Remembrance included within our services.

- Tweedmouth Salmon Feast  - the River Tweed used to reach right uo to our church wall, where Dock Road is now and many photos of the traditional salmon fishing on the river have our church tower with it's salmon wind wane in the background. So every July we welcome the Salmon Queen and her attendants and the Civic Party followed by a very good buffet lunch.
