Faith in Action

The Bible is very clear that faith is not just a matter of belief but which also has to affect the way we live.

You will find all sorts of people in our churches from babies to the very elderly, singles and families including one parent families, people who are in employment and those who would like to be, and people with health challenges, both obvious and hidden.

But we believe God calls us to live out our faith in our different and unique lives, with the different gifts He has given us, in our own unique circle of friends.

And so our sermons and homegroups help us to apply our faith to our lives, as we live in God's power and strength, seeking to love others as God desires of us.

So as a church dispersed in God's world, we seek to be salt and light in every aspect of our lives - at work, at home, at play - with our families, friends, neighbours, wider community, and strangers.

Many people get involved in helping others in the community in a variety of ways:
  • Each of our churches has a collection box for items to be donated to the Berwick food bank.
  • We were instrumental in setting up the local Credit Union branch here, which is open weekly.  Members from our congregation are a large part of the volunteer team.
  • Involvement in management of local housing projects and Berwick Youth Project
  • Supporting artistic expression and involvement in Berwick
